Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, "President" of Iran, worked a prayer for Armageddon into his well received speech at the UN.
Oh, Almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirsts for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by you, and make us among his followers and among those who strive for his return and his cause.As I understand it the "perfect human" refers to the Mahdi, a character who's presence signifies the start of Qiyamah. At this point all the unbelievers will be tossed into hell and the world converted to a perfect Islamic society.
And we all live happily ever after - oh, wait...

Hopefully you are also concerned about the very active Christian and Jews for Jesus groups who connect the second coming with a huge battle in Israel and would like to see it happen sonner rather than later? The Muslim story is just an extension of that one.....
I only care about delusional views of reality that come from the mouths of people who might be capable of starting WWIII.
That being said, I don't believe for a second that any of Iran's dictators believe this crap. If they did, they would have gone out in a blaze of glory long before now.
This post was intended more as a slam against the UN for enthusiastically welcoming anyone with an anti-US agenda.
